my fabulous friends
saw my HS buddies last saturday at Heaven n' Eggs in Glorrietta. can't believe it's already been a year since the last time.
the reason for the impromptu reunion wac bacause carol's leaving for beijing on friday.
i miss them, and i miss the days when all we had to do was pass each other notes in class or meet up during recess or give the other a call at home after school. college days gave way to texting and occassional phone calls and quarterly luncheons/dinners.
we've known each other for as long as 10yrs and more. we know one another's weaknesses and insanity.
now that we've all graduated; 3 of us working and the other 2 pursuing further studies, even text messages have become random.
we're like that now; we seldom see each other but we know we've got each other's back always. they're my tried and tested friends.

yes, i have been out of whack the whole month of august. i knew that trip in boracay was calm before the storm, last meal for a prisoner on death row....
my supervisor rolled out of our project and into a new one so we were left headless and leaderless for the month. that means we had to fend for ourselves and for each other. being considered as the eldest among mamu's children; i was in charge of all the external dealings. add to that the pressure brought on by superiors' expectations that we are a 'well-oiled machine' with or without our mamu.
we've has birthdays and parties here and there within our project but hte best one yet was our karaoke night at redbox last sunday, august 20. posting some pictures.

will be back on regular programming as soon as we have our new supervisor. meanwhile, please do pray for staticbrain and family. they are going through some rough times now and they need all the support and prayers all of us can offer.

impressions and misconceptions
i have walked, skipped, run and sometimes trudged through life's challenges. it's never an easy feat, even for someone like me who is perceived as a heartless, self-centered biatch.
i have always been baffled by people who get offended by the simplest and shallowest of comments when they, in fact, hurl offensive statements left and right and without remorse. it is so pretentious that more often than not i am left baffled and speechless. enlighten me why it is ok for them to hurt me and i not to hurt them? albeit unintentionally on both sides.
i have been perceived as cold, distant, bitchy, maldita and self-centered by others. as jeff said once, i give the air of someone who doens't give a damn; someone who cares only for herself. i say that people mistake self-preservation for these. suffice it to say that i unintentionally project this kind of aura. why should i think fo how they feel when they don't care about how i feel? why should i take the time to think of them when they won't probably give me the time of day? if i start thinking and caring for everyone and hteir needs then what is left for me? shouldn't it be a give and take system? then why do most just take and never give? or if they do give, they give reluctantly and with much rancor?
i ma not saying this to excuse my bad behavior. there is NO axcuse for bad behavior. what i'm saying is let us be conscious of what is going on. you may feel offended by a tactless co-wroker; but think about this, were you as conscious of the statements you as much as the statements you receive?
no, i aint tryin to change the world, let alone people around me. this is just a random rambling by a stressed member of the proletariat.
on a lighter note....
went out with joyce and abby last saturday. we haven't seen each other in ages. the last time i saw abby was when we parted ways at the NAIA after arriving from Singapore last April! it's so nice to see them again. too bad paula couldn't make it. hope next time ching and carol will join us.

happy birthday to jeff and to my blog!!!!!!!!!!! yipee!!!! one year!!!!! who would've thought i'd have the tenacity to blog regularly albeit the crazy working load/sked and my sometimes (or often) crazy self. hahahaha!
it's jeff's birthday today too. sorry, no pictures of the dinner we had with his family. happy birthday bebe!!!!! mwah!
wow. one year. haven't really tried counting how many posts i have now. as for the look....mei said she'll give mah place an overhaul. heehee. so now she's on the spot as i've posted her name. harharhar! bad me!
i've been going crazy this week as most of the stores are on sale. no mentioning of brands but suffice it to say that i am almost at my credit limit and would be resorting to my bebe's credit card soon. dang. i should stop.
our project had its family day last saturday. fun fun fun!! had lunch at leslie's in tagaytay and had treatments at nurture spa. all paid by our fab company.

i'ma do this post MOSTLY (dahil di ko kaya ng buo) in tagalog as a 'tribute' to dad. at bakit dad ang tawag ko? nope, hindi 'kami' at lalong hindi nya ko anak. dad kasi tatay na sya e.
nun thursday pag gising ko nakita ko may text galing kay lars. sabi dala daw ako ng digicam kasi dadaan sya sa office at dadalhan ako ng pagkain. e magdadala lang pala ng pagkain may photo op pa. LOL.
tapos pumunta nga sya sa office at dinalhan ako ng pagkain....
free food!!!!
so free dinner for me! hahaha! pero di ko nakain agad kasi sabi ko iuuwi ko sa bahay at ilalagay ko sa platong maayos para makunan ko ng picture.
